🎭 Panther Pronounced President of Oklahoma Teen Arts Council 🎭
We have a President among us in Putnam City! PCN Junior, Shakureyeon Givens Day, was recently elected President of the Oklahoma Teen Arts Council. Way to #GoBoldly!

🤗 PCN Panthers Inspire Elementary Students Through ASL 🤗
High school students from Putnam City North recently shared their knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) with younger students at James L. Dennis Elementary, fostering communication skills and building connections across PC campuses.

#PCProud: 📣Let’s Go, Let’s Go L-E-T-S-G-O📣
Putnam City North and Putnam City High cheerleaders are making sure a living legacy of spirit surges throughout their schools as they teach the littles how it’s done!

🌱 PCN Home Of Rare Milkweed Plant Species 🦋
A rare plant species, the Zizotes Milkweed, is growing at Putnam City North! The Outdoor Classroom at PCN is a vibrant place for all types of plants, insects, and now the rare milkweed. A Conservation Biologist from the OKC Zoo came out and surveyed the plants this week and found about 20 more milkweed plants growing. There are 29 recordings of this rare milkweed in Oklahoma, 5 in Oklahoma County, and 2 of those are at PCN! We can't wait for all the monarch butterflies to find the milkweed plants next!

#OnTheRoadWithRhodes 📍Visiting Our Schools One Stop at a Time with Dr. Rhodes at the Wheel 🚙
Superintendent Dr. Rhodes ventures every week to visit our schools, see the action, talk to students and teachers, and participate in fun activities that he finds along the way. Today, we road along on his trip to visit the Lake Park Lions, Western Oaks Elementary and Middle School Warriors, Central Cubs, and the PC Aviation Academy. Kids will truly say the best things, including one today asking Dr. Rhodes, "Are you the President?" 🤓

🚔 Protecting and Serving Putnam City 🚓
Putnam City Campus Police Officer Parker Mauk, Officer Davon Spencer, and Officer Jake Bradley have graduated from the State of Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training Basic Police Officer 16-week Academy in Ada, OK! We are thankful for their commitment to our students, staff, and PC Community.

🇺🇸 Stars, Stripes, and School Spirit! 🎇
The Putnam City Schools Campus Police Department and Putnam City West High School JROTC proudly marched in the Bethany Boom Independence Day Parade, showing off our patriotic pride and community spirit!

🚜 Moving Dirt for the New PC Centennial Center 🚜
Another School Bond project is underway with the construction on the PC Centennial Center officially beginning. The PC Centennial Center will be the home of a new community park, outdoor amphitheater, fine arts auditorium, meeting halls, School Board room, and administrative offices. We look forward to keeping up with the updates and, of course, the opening in a couple of years! 🛠️

🚌 Congratulations are in order for two from our Transportation Department!
Huge shout out to Shelly Armstrong and Zachary Wouters for being distinguished as Nationally Certified Supervisors of Pupil Transportation through the National Association of Pupil Transportation. 🐾 Prowling into their next chapter, the PCN Senior Class turns their tassels 🎓
Congratulations to the Putnam City North High School Panthers Class of 2024! As Valedictorian Connor B. said, "The spirit of a Panther is within all of you from here on out." We simply couldn't say it any better. #GoBoldly Panthers ❤️

🎓 Bridging the Past and the Future, One Step at a Time 🎓
Seniors from across the District took a stroll down memory lane at their former elementary schools today for their "Senior Walk" as current elementary students and their former teachers cheered them on. There was no shortage of hugs, laughs, high fives, and even embarrassing photos shared by all. It seems like just yesterday these "little learners" were walking these halls, and now they are walking across the stage as the "big kids."

📺 PCN DECA goes LIVE with News 9 🤩
They are already known at PCN for their cookies, smoothies, and frappes, but now PCN DECA is known across Oklahoma! Did you catch them live on air for The Porch on News 9? If you missed it, check it out at the link below. These Panthers got the experience of a lifetime showing off their skills in the studio, talking about their program, and then taking a tour of Oklahoma's Own News 9 studios.

It's that time of year when students across the District trade in pencils and textbooks for inflatables and yard games to celebrate a hard-earned successful school year. From elementary schools' Super Kids Day to PCN's Field Day, students of all ages participated in some fun in the sun!
